To:Chairman and Members of Etobicoke Community Council

From:John Fulton, Acting Commissioner, Parks and Recreation

 Meeting

Date:June 24, 1998

Subject:OFFICE SPACE - ETOBICOKE COMMUNITY CARE ACCESS CENTRE

 Purpose:

To find office space for Etobicoke Community Care Access Centre.

 Funding Source:

 No funding source is necessary.

 Recommendations:

That this report be received for information.

 Background:

The Etobicoke Community Council on May 27, 1998, directed the Acting Commissioner of Parks and Recreation to assist the Etobicoke Community Care Access Centre in obtaining office space at the Etobicoke Hydro Building or Board of Education Office in Etobicoke.

 Comments:

Both representatives from the Etobicoke Board of Education and the Etobicoke Hydro felt it was to early to commit to their facilities to outside organizations.

Although both parties felt that their organizations would have space available, the amount and availability will not be determined for an undisclosed period of time.

 Conclusion:

I have and will continue to communicate with the staff at the Etobicoke Community Care Access Centre to investigate this and other avenues of office space.

  John Fulton

Acting Commissioner

Parks and Recreation
