Subject:Status Report on the Parkdale Conflict Resolution Process (Ward 19 - High Park)

Purpose:

To report to Toronto Community Council, as requested, on the status of the ongoing Parkdale conflict resolution process.

Comments:

At its meeting held on October 14 and 15, 1998, the Toronto Community Council, in considering the Parkdale matters before it, requested the Commissioner of Urban Planning and Development Services to report to the next Community Council on the implementation of the conflict resolution process.

Representatives of community organizations, agencies, interested individuals and City staff met with an interim facilitator on October 21, 1998 at Masaryk-Cowan Community Centre to discuss the goals and structure of the conflict resolution process. A second meeting has been arranged. I will report further to the November 12, Toronto Community Council.
