RE: PARKING PROBLEMS ON VAUGHAN ROAD, SPECIFICALLY WEST OF NORTHCLIFFE BOULEVARD.
(February 4, 1998) From Councillor Rob Davis, Ward 28, York - Eglinton
I have received a number of complaints from residents living on Vaughan Road; most recently from Ms. Grant who resides at 305-795 Vaughan Road regarding the severity of the parking problem on this street.
Ms. Grant contacted our office to advise us of her extreme frustration with the parking situation on Vaughan Road and the fact that she and her neighbours have been penalized for years for the lack of parking available.
On January 17th and 18th, she was aggressively tagged three times in a span of 24 hours. This parking problem is ongoing and requires immediate attention.
I am requesting that this item be placed on the February 18th agenda of the York Community Council for discussion and resolution. By copy of this letter to Steve Brown, Traffic Branch of the former municipality of York, I am requesting that he report back to the Community Council on the feasibility of implementing parking on the south side of Vaughan Road.
