		19.Permit Parking on Rogers Road (February 25, 1998) from the Commissioner, Operations Services, York Civic Service Centre Purpose: The Commissioner Operations Services is requested to investigate and report on the feasibility of implementing on-street permit parking on Rogers Road. Funding Sources, Financial Implications and Impact Statement: Traffic budget. Implementation of on-street permit parking on Rogers Road between Old Weston Road and Oakwood Avenue could provide a potential annual revenue of $13,260.00. Recommendations: Subject to a poll revealing the majority of residents are in favour, York Community Council approve the implementation of on-street permit parking on Rogers Road between Old Weston Road and Oakwood Avenue. Council Reference/Background History: Internal Memo, dated November 11, 1997, from R. W. Maurice to W. E. Dunford, P. Eng., Commissioner Operations Services. Comments and/or Discussion and/or Justification: Rogers Road traverses in an east/west direction, between Weston Road and Oakwood Avenue, providing two-way vehicular traffic flow. Currently on-street parking on Rogers Road between Old Weston Road and Oakwood Avenue is legally permitted on both the north and south sides of the street. On-street permit parking provides those residents, without adequate off-street parking facilities to legally park their vehicles on the streets on which they reside for extended periods of time, with impunity from the signed and unsigned parking regulations. We, therefore, support the introduction of on-street permit parking on Rogers Road between Old Weston Road and Oakwood Avenue. Conclusions: On-street permit parking is a service benefit for every municipally addressed taxpayer without adequate off-street parking facilities. We, therefore, recommend the implementation of on-street permit parking on Rogers Road between Old Weston Road and Oakwood Avenue. Contact Person: Stephen C.
