1.YORK COMMUNITY SENIORS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

WARD 27, YORK-HUMBER.

Catherine Ward, Executive Director, York West Senior Citizens Centre

(April 1, 1998)

I am writing on behalf of the former York Mayor=s Advisory Committee on Seniors Issues. We feel that it is important that a committee continue to exist that represents the seniors and senior agencies within the York community. We have therefore renamed the committee YORK COMMUNITY SENIORS ADVISORY COMMITTEE and are meeting every month.

We would like to make a short ten minute presentation to the four councillors at a community council meeting:

(1)to inform them of the committee, its member agencies, our terms of reference and a brief history of our activities; and

(2)to receive some direction from the four councillors as to what relationship the committee could have with the community council.

We are requesting the following time for our presentation:

 May 6th, 1998

First item after lunch

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. Thank you.
