Site aka Riverboat Landing, 1400 Weston Road.
The Group would like to make a deputation to council. Please place this item on Community Council Agenda, May 6,

The above noted matter is referring to an Official Plan and Zoning matter that was heard by Ontario Municipal Board
Member B. W. McLoughlin on April 28, 1989.
At that time our organization reached an agreement with the applicant regarding our concerns which were to be monitored
by the Westpointe Advisory Committee, a committee formed by Council that has a watching brief on the proposed
development.
As you recall, the economy took a downturn in the intervening years and the applicant went bankrupt. Currently there has
been a new purchaser of the site and it is our understanding that the development is proceeding. To date, the Westpointe
Advisory Committee has not been convened to monitor current progress.
Our organization has incurred large planning and legal costs as a result of lack of communication between the various
parties involved with the development (former City of York, former Board of Education of the City of York).
We request that the Council of the City of Toronto reactivate the Westpointe Advisory Committee as soon as possible to
continue the dialogue we are entitled to have as a planning tool.

York Civic Service Centre.)
