10.APPLICATION FOR LIQUOR LICENCE - 1980 EGLINTON AVENUE WEST

- YORK ITALIAN HUNTING AND SPORTS ASSOCIATION

WARD 28, YORK-EGLINTON.

 City Clerk

(May 13, 1998)

 Purpose:

 To provide departmental comments following circulation of Municipal Information form from the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario and the Licence Clearance form completed by the applicant.

 Funding Sources, Financial Implications and Impact Statement:

 None.

 Recommendations:

 That authorization be provided to forward departmental comments to the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario.

 Council Reference/Background/History:

 On March 17, 1998, copies of the Municipal Information form and Licence Clearance form were circulated for comments

 Comments and/or Discussion and/or Justification:

 The following is a breakdown of departmental comments received:

 Development Services Department (April 21, 1998):

 ARegarding the subject license application, the Development Services Department has reviewed all available permits, drawings, and documentation submitted in support of the application and has conducted site inspections as necessary to determine compliance with the applicable zoning, building and plumbing regulations with the following to be noted:

 Premises in compliance with zoning, building and plumbing regulations. This approval is subject to the premises being used as a private club.@

 Fire Department:

 AIn regards to the March 16, 1998 application, please be advised that we have no objection to the issuance of a liquor licence for this premises.

 The maximum occupant load of this premises, with non-fixed tables and chairs should not exceed 50 persons.@

 Health Department:

 AThis establishment is under regular routine inspection by inspectors of this Health Unit and no Health Unit orders under Food Premises Regulation 562/90 are currently outstanding against it.

 We have no objection to the issuance of a liquor licence.@

 By-law Enforcement and Property Standards Division, Community Services Department:

 AThe Municipal Standards Division of the Community Services Department has no active file in relation to the above-mentioned premises and therefore have no comments.@

 Operations Services:

 APlease be advised I have reviewed the above application for a liquor licence at 1980 Eglinton Avenue West - York Italian Hunting and Sports Association and have no comment.@

 The following comments were received from the Toronto Licensing Commission:

 APlease be advised Commission records indicate York Italian Hunting & Sports Association, operating as York Italian Hunting & Sports Association, obtained a Private Club: Cigarettes; Refreshments (Seating Capacity Over 40); Billiards (4 Billiard Tables) Licence from the Commission on February 24, 1998, and is currently licensed up to and including December 31, 1998.

 There are no relevant complaints or investigations regarding the premises.@

Conclusions:

That the above comments now be forwarded to the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario as departmental clearances have beenprovided.
