10.DEPARTMENT RELOCATIONS - YORK CIVIC SERVICE CENTRE.

 Councillor Frances Nunziata, Ward 27, York-Humber

 Motion by Councillor Nunziata, seconded by Councillor Mihevc:

 WHEREAS departments in the York Civic Service Centre are being relocated to different areas of the City of Toronto and the main switchboard phone number for the Civic Centre was cancelled;

 WHEREAS no prior information on the relocations or the cancellation of the main York switchboard number were provided to members of the York Community Council for review and comment and;

 WHEREAS some of the changes in service could have a negative impact on the level of and accessibility to municipal services provided to residents of the York community;

 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the York Community Council requests that the City Chief Administrative Officer ensure that any plans for relocation of departments in the York Civic Service Centre be forwarded to the members of the York Council for information and the opportunity of providing comment as to implications on service delivery to York residents.

 (June 10, 1998) from Councillor Frances Nunziata to the City of Toronto Chief Executive Officer requesting a list of departments where relocation from the York Civic Service Centre is impending or being contemplated and that members of the York Community Council should be provided with an opportunity to provide input on the implications of these relocations on service to their constituents.
