3.ROCKCLIFFE INDUSTRIAL PARK - PROPOSED RECREATIONAL USE

Ward 27, York-Humber.

Councillor Frances Nunziata, Ward 27, York-Humber

(July 28, 1998)

I am attaching a communication dated, July 27, 1998, from Urban Golf Concepts Inc., 30 Wellington Street East, who are requesting the opportunity to present a development concept for the lands at the Rockcliffe Industrial Park.

As noted in the attached, a communication has been forwarded to Doug Warning, Corporate Services, Real Estate Division, regarding same.

Would you please have the representative of Urban Golf Concepts Inc. Scheduled as deputants at the next meeting of the York Community Council.

John Lajoy, B. Arch. Sc., Director of Development, Urban Golf Concepts Inc.

(July 27, 1998)

Please be advised that Urban Golf Concepts Inc. Is interested in the lands at the Rockcliffe Industrial Business Park. Urban's interest is to develop the lands into a recreational use. We would be interested in either a long term land lease or a purchase should these lands be declared surplus and be made available for development. I understand that the Plan of Subdivision has now been registered and that the City will be determining the future of these lands between now and October, 1998. We have expressed our interest, in writing, to Mr. Doug Warning, Corporate Services, Real Estate Division.

We would like the opportunity to present our development concept to the York Community Council at an appropriate time. Please contact myself or Walter Cardozo (905-791-4653) at your convenience to discuss this matter in greater detail.
