11.288 AND 290 BOON AVENUE - EAVESTROUGH ENCROACHMENT

Ward 28, York Eglinton.

Councillor Joe Mihevc, Ward 28, York-Eglinton

(August 26, 1998)

In response to a complaint from a resident at the above noted address, I am requesting that staff report on the issue of whether the eavestrough at 290 Boon Avenue encroaches onto the property at 288 Boon Avenue. I will have pictures available at the next community council meeting.

York is involved in this dispute because it is the former City of York that issued a building permit, perhaps improperly, to 290 Boon Avenue approximately seven years ago.

I would ask that the Building Department investigate this situation, perhaps undertaking a new survey and reviewing past surveys to determine York's responsibilities in this matter.

If you have any further questions, you may contact me at 392-0208.
