9.NOTIFICATION TO RESIDENTS WITH REGARD TO TRAFFIC DURING CONSTRUCTION.

Please add the following to the York Community Council Agenda for November 12, 1998.

My office has received numerous complaints from residents on Winnett Avenue who were not notified of plans to change Winnett Avenue temporarily from a ONE WAY to a TWO WAY street while construction took place in October. Notification is important as children need to be made aware of such changes. In this case, there is a school located in the immediate area.

I am hereby requesting that in future local residents and community schools be notified of temporary traffic changes so that children can be made aware of them. I would also suggest that we consider signs that state a temporary change rather than a new change.
