BY-LAW No.

 

To appoint a Deputy Mayor.

 

WHEREAS the Municipal Act provides that the council of a municipality may appoint a member of council to act from time to time in the place and stead of the head of the council when the head of council is absent from the municipality or absent through illness;

 

Now therefore, the Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

 

1. Councillor Case Ootes is hereby appointed Deputy Mayor to act in the place and stead of the Mayor when the Mayor is absent from the City of Toronto or is absent through illness during the period ending on May 31, 1999.

 

ENACTED AND PASSED this day of February, A.D. 1998.
