Funding For Study of the North York Bridle Path -

Post Road Drainage System - Ward 9 - North York Centre South.

 

The North York Community Council recommends the adoption of the following report (January 14, 1998) from the Commissioner of Public Works:

 

Purpose:

 

The purpose of this report is to seek funding authorization for a study of an innovative drainage system installed in the Bridle Path - Post Road area as part of the 1997 road reconstruction program.

 

Funding Source, Financial Implications and Impact Statement:

 

Water Rate - Sewer and Erosion Capital Account.

 

Recommendations:

 

It is recommended that:

 

(1) the City=s portion of funding a monitoring study of the Bridle Path - Post Road drainage system in the amount of $50,000.00 be financed from the Sewer and Erosion Capital Account (no 1998 operating budget impact);

 

(2) the Great Lakes 2000 Cleanup Fund and the Ministry of Environment in charge of the Storm Water Assessment Monitoring and Performance Program (SWAMP) be notified;

 

(3) upon completion of the study, a further report be submitted with the findings and recommendations; and

 

(4) the appropriate City officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect thereto.
