BY-LAW No. -1998

 

To acquire all rights, title and interests in the private lane which extends northerly from Humberside Avenue, between High Park Avenue and Pacific Avenue, for public lane purposes.

 

WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the City of Toronto authorized an application for the expropriation of the lands at its meeting held on July 24 and 25, 1995 by its adoption of Clause No. 19 of City Services Committee Report No. 10;

 

WHEREAS notice of an application to the Council of the City of Toronto for approval to expropriate the lands described below for public lane purposes has been served upon the registered owners thereof and has been published pursuant to the provisions of the Expropriations Act;

 

WHEREAS an inquiry as to the necessity of the expropriation was held on January 13, 1998 pursuant to the Expropriations Act; and

 

WHEREAS the Council of the City of Toronto approved the application and authorized the appropriate City Officials to take the necessary actions to effect the expropriation of the lands;

 

The Council of the City of Toronto ENACTS as follows:

 

1. All rights, title and interests in the lands described by Walter Kowalenko, Acting City Surveyor, as follows:

 

In the City of Toronto and Province of Ontario, being composed of those lands designated as Parts on a Reference Plan deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Metropolitan Toronto Registry Division (No. 64), all as set out in the following Schedule:

WHEREAS authority is given to Council by Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended, to pass this By-law;

 

AND WHEREAS Council of the former City of Scarborough has provided adequate information to the public and has held at least one public meeting in accordance with the Planning Act;

 

Now, therefore, the Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

 

1. Schedule AA@ of the Oakridge Employment District is amended by deleting the current zoning and substituting the following zoning as shown on Schedule A1" attached to this by-law.
