To authorize the execution and registration of a plan of survey
for the acquisition of all rights, title and interests in the private lane
located at the rear of premises Nos. 58 to 66 Williamson Road
and 252 to 256 Glen Manor Drive, for public lane purposes.
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the City of Toronto, at its meeting held on
April 29 and 30, 1996, adopted Clause No. 10 of City Services Committee Report No. 5 authorizing
an application for the expropriation of all rights, title and interests in the private lane located at the
rear of premises Nos. 58 to 66 Williamson Road and 252 to 256 Glen Manor Drive, for public lane
purposes;
WHEREAS Council approved the application and authorized the appropriate City Officials
to take the necessary actions to effect the expropriation of all rights, title and interests in the private
lane located at the rear of premises Nos. 58 to 66 Williamson Road and 252 to 256 Glen Manor
Drive, for public lane purposes; and
WHEREAS By-law No. passed on the 17th day of April, 1998, expropriated all rights,
title and interests in the private lane located at the rear of premises Nos. 58 to 66 Williamson Road
and 252 to 256 Glen Manor Drive, for public lane purposes, which lands are shown as PARTS 1 -
11, inclusive, on Plan of Survey 2101-1 prepared by Walter Kowalenko, City Surveyor, on the 23rd
day of September, 1997.
WHEREAS the Expropriations Act requires the execution of the plan of survey by the
expropriating authority and its registration in the proper land registry office;
The Council of the City of Toronto ENACTS as follows:
1. (a) The Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer or designate and the City Clerk or
designate are authorized to sign the plan of survey, and the City Clerk or designate
are authorized and directed to affix the seal of the City of Toronto; and
(b) When signed and sealed, Walter Kowalenko, City Surveyor, is directed to cause Plan
of Survey 2101-1 to be registered in the Land Registry Office for the Land Titles
Division of Metropolitan Toronto (No. 66) and the Commissioner of Corporate
Services is authorized and directed to give notice of the expropriation in accordance
with the Expropriations Act.
2. Plan of Survey 2101-1, attached, shall form part of this By-law.
