  To amend the Employment Districts Zoning By-law Number 24982

(Marshalling Yard Employment District)

 WHEREAS authority is given to Council by Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P. 13, as amended, to pass this By-law; and whereas Council of the City of Toronto has provided adequate information to the public and has held at least one public meeting in accordance with the Planning Act;

 The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

 1.Schedule "C", EXCEPTIONS LIST, is amended by adding Restaurants and Retail Stores to Exception Number 57, so that it reads as follows:

 57.(a)Only the following uses are permitted:

 -Ground Signs which are non-accessory

-Marketplace Signs

-Places of Worship

-Restaurants

-Retail Stores

-Vehicle Service Garages

-Vehicle Service Stations, which may include an automatic roll-over car wash

-Wall Signs which are non-accessory

EXPLANATION OF THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF

BY-LAW NUMBER

    LAND AFFECTED:The subject land is located at the north-west corner of Sheppard Avenue and Markham Road, as shown on the attached key map. The property is known municipally as 5110 Sheppard Avenue East, being Lot 19, Concession 3.

    PURPOSE AND EFFECT

OF BY-LAW:To add permission to this parcel for Retail Stores and Restaurants, in addition to the existing permitted uses, which include:

-Ground Signs which are non-accessory

-Marketplace Signs

-Places of Worship

-Vehicle Service Garages

-Vehicle Service Stations, which may include an automatic roll-over car wash

-Wall Signs which are non-accessory
