BY-LAW NUMBER

A BY-LAW TO ESTABLISH CERTAIN LANDS AS

A MUNICIPAL HIGHWAY

    WHEREAS the City has acquired certain lands as hereinafter described and The Council of the City deems it appropriate and necessary to accept the said lands as a Public Highway;

AND WHEREAS Subsection 1(a) of Section 297, of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter M.45, provides that the Council of every Municipality may pass By-laws for establishing and laying out highways;

AND WHEREAS Subsection 111(a) of Section 210, of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter M.45, provides that By-laws may be passed by The Councils of Local Municipalities to provide for surveying, settling and marking the boundary lines of highways and giving names to them.

THEREFORE The Council of the City of Toronto enacts as follows:

 The lands described as Part of French Avenue, Plan 2042, designated as Parts 1 and 2 on Reference Plan 64R-15377 in the City of Toronto (formerly the City of Scarborough) is hereby established and laid out as public highway within the City.

 All by-laws presently in force with respect to highways and streets shall apply to the said highway created under this By-law.

  ENACTED AND PASSED this day of A.D., 1998.
