To authorize the removal of certain trees growing on the highways of the Municipality.
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter M.45, Section 312, subsection 4(e) provides that the Council of every municipality may pass by-laws causing any tree planted upon a highway, within the municipality, to be removed when considered necessary in the public interest.
AND WHEREAS it is considered necessary in the public interest to cause the trees hereinafter designated, growing on the highways of the municipality, to be removed.
The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. The Commissioner of Economic Development, Culture & Tourism be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to cut down and remove, or cause to be cut down and removed, the trees standing in the following highways,
Ava Road (145) One (1) Norway Maple tree, standing on the North side of Ava Road, abutting Blk ABCDEFX, Plan 2887 on which is situated house #145.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Brookside Ave. (12) One (1) Sycamore tree, standing on the West side of Brookside Ave., abutting Lot PT. Lot 1889 & 190, Plan 878 on which is situated house #12.
Reason for removal: Tree is dead.
Brumell Ave. (5) One (1) Silver Maple tree, standing on the East side of Brumell Ave., abutting Lot PT Lot 63, Plan 1548 N on which is situated house #5.
Reason for removal: Tree is dead.
Church St. (82) One (1) Silver Maple tree, standing on the North side of Church St., abutting Lot 59, Plan M338 on which is situated house #82.
Reason for removal: Tree is dead.
Cordella Ave. (16) One (1) Manitoba Maple tree, standing on the West side of Cordella Ave., abutting Lot 22, Plan 2051 on which is situated house #16.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Humbercrest Blvd. (16) One (1) Red Oak tree, standing on the West side of Humbercrest Blvd., abutting Lot PT Lot 130, Plan 1582 on which is situated house #16.
Reason for removal: Damaged in storm.
John St. (244) One (1) Norway maple tree, standing on the North side of John St., abutting Lot PT Lot 114, Plan 182 on which is situated house #244.
Reason for removal: Tree rotten at base.
Northcliffe Blvd. (421) One (1) Norway Maple tree, standing on the West side of Northcliffe Blvd., abutting Lot PT, Lot 40, Plan 1540 N on which is situated house #421.
Reason for removal: Tree is dead.
Norval St. (21) One (1) Manitoba Maple tree, standing on the East side of Norval St., abutting Pt Lot 8, Plan 2165 N on which is situated house #21.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Robina Ave. (167) One (1) Manitoba Maple tree, standing on the East side of Robina Ave, abutting Lot PT, Lot 95, Plan 927 N on which is situated house #167.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Strathnairn Ave. (167) One (1) Manitoba Maple tree, standing on the East side of Robina Ave., abutting Lot PT Lots 313 To 315; Plan 1917 on which is situated house #167
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Snider Ave. (52) One (1) Blue Spruce tree, standing on the West side of Snider Ave., abutting Lot Part Lot 276; Plan 1855 on which is situated house #52.
Reason for removal: Tree is 1/2 dead.
Ypres Road (91) One (1) Spruce tree, standing on the South side of Ypres Rd., abutting Lot 82; Plan 2245 on which is situated house #91.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Richardson (110) One (1) Crimson King Maple, standing on the West side of Richardson Ave., abutting Lot 291, Plan 1917 on which is situated house #110.
Reason for removal: Tree is declining badly.
