To authorize the removal of certain trees growing on the highways of the Municipality
WHEREAS the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter M.45, Section 312, subsection 4(e) provides that the Council of every municipality may pass by-laws causing any tree planted upon a highway, within the municipality, to be removed when considered necessary in the public interest.
AND WHEREAS it is considered necessary in the public interest to cause the trees hereinafter designated, growing on the highways of the municipality, to be removed.
The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. The Commissioner of Economic Development, Culture & Tourism be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to cut down and remove, or cause to be cut down and removed, the trees standing in the following highways,
Beresford Ave. (675) One (1) Tree of Heaven, standing on the East side of Beresford Ave., abutting Lot Part Lot 18 & 19, Plan 692 on which is situated house #675.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition at base.
Bicknell Ave. (64) One (1) Birch tree, standing on the West side of Bicknell Ave., abutting Lot 706, Plan 2008 on which is situated house #64.
Reason for removal: Large hole in trunk.
Boyd Ave. (42) One (1) Silver Maple tree, standing on the North side of Boyd Ave., abutting Lot Part Lot 279, Plan 465 on which is situated house #42.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Criscoe St. (30) One (1) Norway Maple tree, standing on the West side of Criscoe St., abutting Part Lot 9, Plan 2321 on which is situated house #30.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Eileen Ave. (16) One (1) Silver Maple tree, standing on the North side of Eileen Ave., abutting Lot 54, Plan 1719 on which is situated house #16.
Reason for removal: Tree is hollow at base.
Ellins Ave. (130) One (1) Norway Maple tree, standing on the North side of Ellins Ave., abutting Lot Part Lot 56 & 57, Plan 2662 on which is situated house #130.
Reason for removal: Tree is in very poor condition.
Gloucester Grove (196) One (1) Norway Spruce tree, standing on the North side of Gloucester Grove, abutting Lot 11, Plan 1569 on which is situated house #196.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Holland Park Ave. (5) One (1) Sugar Maple tree, standing on the North side of Holland Park Ave., abutting Lot Part Lot 99, Plan 1473 on which is situated house #50.
Reason for removal: Tree in bad condition at trunk.
Peveril Hill N. (29) One (1) Norway Spruce tree, standing on the East side of Peveril Hill N., abutting Lot 227, Plan 511 on which is situated house #29.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Queens Dr. (240) One (1) Norway Maple tree, standing on the North side of Queens Dr., abutting Lot Part Lot 122, Plan M140 on which is situated house #240.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
Robina Ave. (32) One (1) Sugar Maple tree, standing on the West side of Robina Ave., abutting Lot Part Lot 4, Plan 2317 on which is situated house #32.
Reason for removal: Tree in very poor condition.
Snider Ave. (52) One (1) Blue Spruce tree, standing on the West side of Snider Ave., abutting Lot Part Lot 276, Plan 1855 on which is situated house #52.
Reason for removal: Tree is 1/2 dead.
Ypres Road (91) One (1) Spruce tree, standing on the South side of Ypres Rd., abutting Lot 82, Plan 2245 on which is situated house #91.
Reason for removal: Tree in poor condition.
