1999 Toronto Transit Commission Service Plan

The East York Community Council recommends as follows:

(1)that the Toronto Transit Commission be advised that the East York Community Council strongly objects to the change in scheduling of the 62 Mortimer Bus Route and the 88 South Leaside Bus Route;

(2)that the Toronto Transit Commission be encouraged to take action to enhance ridership on the 62 Mortimer Bus Route; and

(3)that the Toronto Transit Commission be requested to review the feasibility of having the Don Mills Road Bus Route travel along Thorncliffe Park Drive to compensate for the Saturday evening schedule reduction along the 88 South Leaside Bus Route:

(August 20, 1998) communication from the General Secretary, Toronto Transit Commission, requesting that the 1999 Toronto Transit Commission Service Plan be considered by the EastYork Community Council and that any comments be forwarded to the Toronto Transit Commission by October 28, 1998.

The East York Community Council also had before it for consideration a copy of the Toronto Transit Commission 1999 Service Plan.

The following persons appeared before the East York Community Council in connection with the foregoing:

-Mr. Pat Scrimgeour, Toronto Transit Commission;

-Ms. Donna-Lynn McCallun, East York;

-Mr. Gord Crann, East York; and

-Ms. Androulla Haalboon, East York.
