The Toronto Community Council submits the communication (September 2, 1998)
from Richard M. Borins, Director, Legal and Business Affairs, Air Canada Centre:
We are in the process of applying for a liquor licence for Air Canada Centre. The Liquor
Licence Board of Ontario requires that we obtain a resolution from City Council approving
the sale of beer, wine, coolers and mixed drinks containing spirits in Air Canada Centre. In
this regard, we ask that City Council give our request consideration at its meeting scheduled
for September 16, 1998.
We have provided a form of resolution for your consideration which has been based on the
form of resolution provided by Council with respect to the Maple Leaf Gardens Licence.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions regarding this matter.
