TORONTO CYCLING COMMITTEE:
In order to facilitate the Committee's discussion regarding the F. G. Gardiner Expressway
East Dismantling Project at its Special Meeting on May 10, 1999, the attached
communications/reports will provide background information respecting previous decisions
by the Metropolitan Cycling and Pedestrian Committee and the Urban Environment and
Development Committee:
(i)(February 3, 1998 communication addressed to the Urban Environment and Development
Committee from the City Clerk, advising that the Metropolitan Cycling and Pedestrian
Committee on February 2, 1998, recommended to the Urban Environment and Development
Committee, and Council, the adoption of the report dated January 19, 1998, from
Mr.JackBecker, Chair, Network Planning Sub-Committee;
(ii)(December 8, 1998) addressed to the Budget Committee from the City Clerk, forwarding
the recommendations of the Urban Environment and Development Committee from its
meeting on November 30, 1998 and December 1, 1998, respecting the F.G. Gardiner
Expressway East Dismantling Project.
