The Education and Safety Subcommittee at its meeting held on Sept. 7, 1999 and Sept. 9, 1999, reviewed existing

provided by the Urban Planning and Development Services for a one to two year transition period.
- Council be requested to rehire the vacant Commuter Cycling Coordinator position to handle promotion and
development issues, including the Road and Trail Safety Ambassador Program and Bike Week.
- That the following program areas' objectives and goals be redefined/developed based on available resources:
- Bike Week
- Ambassador Program
- Smog
- Road Rage
