Subject:Status of Cycling Master Plan Study
A study project team headed by Marshall Macklin Monaghan (MMM) has been retained by the City to produce the
Cycling Master Plan Study. Dave Richardson, professional engineer and Senior Project Manager with MMM will be the
study Project Manager. Dave managed the former City of Toronto's 1991 bicycle lane study and several other bicycle
planning and design studies and is also an avid cyclist. The project team also includes Norma Moores with Stantec
Consulting, who will lead the public consultation component of the project. Norma is a professional engineer and
Can-Bike instructor with considerable experience in managing bicycle studies and public consultation for municipal
clients. Ken Buck and Jay Cranstone, landscape architects with ESG International will provide trail planning and design
expertise on the project team.
We are currently preparing the study work plan and timeline. I will be able to report further on this at the September
21st meeting of the Cycling Committee.
