SUBJECT:1999 Membership Fee

Federation of Canadian Municipalities

Purpose:

To obtain Council's approval to pay the 1999 membership fee for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

Financial Implications:

There are sufficient funds in the 1999 Interim Estimates to cover this expenditure.

Recommendations:

That payment of the 1999 membership fee for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities be approved in the amount of $116,100.

Discussion:

The 1999 invoice for the membership to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities is for $116,100. This is an increase of $85 over the 1998 membership fee.

Conclusion:

The 1999 membership fee for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities be paid in the amount of $116,100.
