		To:Councillor Dennis Fotinos Chair, Emergency and Protective Services From:Councillor Joe Mihevc Re:Proposed Combining of Toronto Police Services Divisions 12 and 13 Date:December 10, 1998 As an active member of the 13 Division Special Crime Committee I wish to express may opposition to the proposed amalgamation of the Toronto Police Services Divisions 12 and 13. It is may concern that the unique dynamics of community policing in 13 Division, especially in the Ward I represent (Ward 28) would be lost as a result of the melding of these two divisions. Of strong concern is the unique effect this division has had on the Eglinton West community. I believe that any changes made to 13 Division will be to the detriment of the neighbourhood commitments manifested by the businesses, residents and the police at 13 Division. There is truly a neighbourhood feeling here and the men and women of 13 Division continuously prove to be good neighbors. Sincerely, Councillor Joe Mihevc Ward 28 York-Eglinton
