Purpose :
To provide the Etobicoke Community Council with information regarding an application for
Site Plan Control for a 24 screen, movie theatre complex at 1025 The Queensway.
Funding Sources, Financial Implications and Impact Statement:
City funding is not required. There may be financial costs associated with the shared
reconstruction of Dorchester Avenue.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that this report be received for information and that the Etobicoke
Community Council provide input regarding this proposal.
Council Reference:
In October, 1998, Etobicoke Community Council considered a report detailing new Planning
Applications received for the Etobicoke planning area. The Community Council requested the
Director of Community Planning, West District, to submit a report to Community Council on
the application at 1025 The Queensway.
Site Plan Control Approval across the City has been delegated to the Directors of Community
Planning.
Comments:
The attached report has been prepared for approval by the Director of Community Planning.
Conclusions:
The review of the Site Plan Control application has been completed and is ready for approval,
subject to the conditions outlined in the report and input from the Etobicoke Community
Council.
