February 17, 1999

To:Chairman and Members, Etobicoke Community Council

From:E. Jarvis, Acting Chair, Etobicoke Historical Board

Subject:Reciprocal Membership Privileges

Purpose:

To start the amalgamation of support for and between the membership support groups maintained by various historical boards and museum committees in Toronto.

Funding Sources, Financial Implications and Impact Statement:

None.

Recommendation:

It is recommended that this report be received for information.

Comments and/or Discussion and/or Justification:

At its meeting of January 12, 1999, the Etobicoke Historical Board had for consideration the attached report from the Heritage Co-ordinator, regarding an exchange of membership privileges between the Partners of Heritage Toronto, the Friends of Fort York and the Friends of Etobicoke's Heritage. As noted in the report, this is an excellent opportunity to continue the amalgamation process, by extending the common membership privileges to other membership groups. The Board unanimously endorsed the Co-ordinator's recommendation.
