		June 15, 1999 TO:Yvonne Davies Committee Administrator East York Community Council FROM:Councillor Jane Pitfield RE:Street Festival Permits - residential I would like to submit to East York Community Council a petition presented to my by residents of Randolph Road. This petition outlines the concerns specific proposed fees for street festivals. I would like to request that staff in the Urban Planning & Development Services division investigate and report back to the East York Community Council on a clearer interpretation of the permit policy and steps that can be taken to ensure such a policy does not deter local neighbours from hosting community and neighbourhood street parties. I bring this to the attention of Community Council members and residents of the ward for comment and for information.
