I would like to present to East York Community Council items brought forward by the East York L.A.C.A.C.

1. Request that staff prepare a process for naming of streets in East York, and that in this proposal is the opportunity for LACAC to submit and maintain a list of names significant to the community of East York and worthy of consideration at some time in the future for naming recognition. Further that the East York Community Council make the final recommendations to City Council concerning new street names.
2. That East York Community Council receive a list of volunteers applying to sit on the East York LACAC.
3. That the parkette in the new subdivision at Mortimer and Pape Avenues be named Agnes McPhail Parkette.

I bring this to the attention of Community Council members and residents of the ward for comment and for information.

Could you please include this item on the agenda of the East York Community Council meeting being held on Tuesday September 14, 1999.
