		Memo To: Yvonne Davies, Clerk, East York Community Council From: Councillor Jane Pitfield Re: Antique lights on the Donlands Date: November 18^th, 1999 The businesses on the Donlands are interested in having antique lights installed in order to beautify the area. Through Economic Development, $10,000 has already been secured towards this end. However, an Economic Development policy indicates that in order for a business community to receive a premium upgrade, it is necessary for the community to pay 25% of the cost. The small-scale businesses on the Donlands are unable to contribute 25% of the cost. I am writing to request your support in recommending to Economic Development the waiving of this policy in this instance, such that the allocated $10,000 may be spent to install four antique lights in the vicinity of the Donlands businesses.
