Subject: Traffic Poll Results - Implementation of Alternate Side Overnight Permit Parking on Leroy Avenue between Mortimer Avenue and Memorial Park Avenue.

Ward One, East York

Purpose:

To report the results of a traffic poll conducted on Leroy Avenue between Mortimer Avenue and Memorial Park Avenue in connection with the implementation of alternate side overnight permit parking.

Financial Implications and Impact Statement:

The proposed changes can be accommodated from within the existing Operating Budget.

Recommendation:

It is recommended that this report be received for information.

Background:

The East York Community Council, at its meeting held on September 14, 1999, requested the City Clerk to poll the residents on Leroy Avenue between Mortimer Avenue and Memorial Park Avenue as to their support with respect to the implementation of alternate side overnight permit parking.

Comments:

The results of the poll are as follows:

Number of residents polled: 45

Number of responses: 24

Spoiled: 0

Number in favour: 16

Number opposed 4

No opinion 4

Comments returned with the poll have been provided to the Councillors representing East York, Ward One.

Conclusions:

The East York Community Council is requested to consider the poll results in determination of the aforementioned proposal.
