		July 29, 1999 TO:Chair and Members, Board of Health FROM:Councillor Anne Johnston RE:Food Banks My request to the Medical Officer of Health to report to the September meeting of the Board on the adequacy of standards on the food being donated and distributed at food banks was not considered at the June 29 meeting of the Board of Health. I would therefore request that the Medical Officer of Health look into this and report back to the next meeting of the Board of Health whether these concerns are well founded or not. It has been suggested to me that there is reason to be concerned about the adequacy of the standards of food being donated and distributed by the food banks.
