To stop up and close the public walkway located at the west end of Tillingham Keep

WHEREAS it is recommended that the public walkway located at the west end of Tillingham Keep be stopped up and closed as a public walkway;

AND WHEREAS notice of the proposed by-law to stop up and close the said public walkway was published in _____________ on _______________________;

The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

1.The public walkway located at the west end of Tillingham Keep, described as follows:

P.I.N. 10213-0540 (LT)

Being Block 201 on Plan 66M-2241 designated as Part 5 on Plan 66R-15528 both said Plans being in the Land Registry Office for the Land Titles Division of Metropolitan Toronto (No. 66), in the City of Toronto (formerly the City of North York) and Province of Ontario

is hereby stopped up and closed as a public walkway.

ENACTED AND PASSED this day of , A.D. 1999.

PUBLIC NOTICE

IN THE MATTER OF the Municipal Act

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Toronto proposes to pass a by-law to stop up and close the public walkway located at the west end of Tillingham Keep.

The proposed by-law and plan showing the lands to be affected may be seen at the office of:

At its meeting to be held at the North York Civic Centre on July 15, 1999, commencing at 10:30 a.m. the North York Community Council will hear in person or by his or her counsel, agent or solicitor, any person who claims that his or her lands will be prejudicially affected by the said by-law and who applies to be heard.

Walkway Closure - West End of Tillingham Keep -

North York Spadina

(City Council on June 9, 10 and 11, 1999, adopted this Clause, without amendment.)

The North York Community Council recommends the adoption of the following Resolution by Councillor Moscoe, North York Spadina:

WHEREAS the Balmoral community has several dedicated walkways located on city property; and

WHEREAS residents have expressed many concerns regarding safety and security at the walkway located at the west end of Tillingham Keep; and

WHEREAS a survey was conducted and 95 percent of residents were in favour of closing the walkway; and

WHEREAS Transportation staff have indicated that this walkway is not required for pedestrian or vehicular circulation;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the walkway located at the west end of Tillingham Keep be closed.

Councillor Li Preti, Black Creek, declared his interest in the foregoing matter, in that he resides in the Balmoral community wherein the walkway in question is located.
