Subject:261 Port Union Road

Purpose:

To report to Community Council on the Division's monitoring of 261 Port Union Road.

Financial Implications and Impact Statement:

Nil.

Recommendations:

That this report be received for information purposes.

Background/History:

At its meeting on December 9, 1998, the Scarborough Community Council considered a report from the Director of Community Planning, East District, concerning the process necessary to amend the Zoning By-law at 261 Port Union Road. The report was deferred until the September 1999 meeting of the Community Council and the Municipal Licensing and Standards Division was asked to monitor the property in the interim.

Comments:

The Division's records indicate that the construction of a new solid board fence was completed along the rear lot line of the plaza in mid December. Since that time, the Division has not received any complaints respecting noise or the auto repair use in the plaza.
