Purpose:
To advise Community Council of the status of discussions between the applicant and the community on outstanding issues
of the application.
Financial Implications:
None.
Recommendations:
It is recommended that Community Council defer the recommendations contained in the June 4, 1999, staff report, to the
November 9, 1999, meeting of the Scarborough Community Council.
Background:
At its meeting of September 14, 1999, the Scarborough Community Council concluded the Public Meeting respecting this
application, but at the applicant's request deferred the recommendations contained in the June 4, 1999, staff report, to the
October 12, 1999 meeting.
The applicant and community representatives had reached agreement on most of the affected issues of the application, with
the exception of side yard setbacks on the west side of the proposed development. The applicant undertook to provide
design alternatives to determine an appropriate side yard setback for the proposed building and to discuss the proposals
with the community representatives. We have been advised by the applicant that the parties are still reviewing the
proposals and would require additional time.
