FOR COUNCILLOR MICHAEL PRUE TO BE APPOINTED

TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

Advising that former Councillor Bev Salmon previously served on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Child Abuse Centre (formerly called The Metropolitan Toronto Special Committee on Child Abuse); that the Centre has not had a City Councillor on its Board since Councillor Salmon retired; and requesting that Councillor Michael Prue be appointed to its Board of Directors.

(Note:As requested by the Striking Committee on February 22, 1999, the City Clerk's office canvassed Members of Council on February 23 for their interest in being appointed to the Toronto Child Abuse Centre, and Councillor Michael Prue indicated his interest.

APPOINTMENTS TO OFFICIAL PLAN COUNCIL REFERENCE GROUP.

Advising that City Council on March 2, 1999, adopted, as amended, Clause No. 2 contained in Report No. 3 of the Urban Environment and Development Committee, headed "The Framework for the New Official Plan for Toronto"; that in adopting the Clause, as amended, City Council decided, in part, to establish an Official Plan Council Reference Group to guide the process, such Group to comprise 7 Members of Council, one of whom shall be the Chair of the Urban Environment and Development Committee who will Chair the Group.

Advising that Members of Council were canvassed on March 2, 1999, to determine their respective interest in being appointed to the Council Reference Group; and submitting a list of Members of Council who have indicated an interest in this appointment.
