COMMUNICATIONS/REPORTS.

1.APPOINTMENTS TO THE

FILM LIAISON INDUSTRY COMMITTEE (FLIC).

Providing Members of Council with a list of Member's preferences for appointment to the Film Liaison Industry Committee; and recommending that the Striking Committee give consideration to Members' preferences outlined in Schedule 1, and recommend to City Council appointments to the Film Liaison Industry Committee of six Members of Council who are interested in the film and television industry, with preference being given to achieving a geographical balance, for a term of office expiring on November 30, 2000, and until their successors are appointed.

2.APPOINTMENTS TO THE

TASK FORCE ON COMMUNITY SAFETY.

Providing Members of Council with a list of Member's preferences for appointment to the Task Force on Community Safety; and recommending that the Striking Committee give consideration to Members' preferences outlined in Schedule 1 and recommend to City Council the appointment of 5Members of Council representing all areas of the City (at least one from the North, West, South, and East districts) for this appointment for a term of office expiring on November 30, 2000.

3.APPOINTMENTS TO THE

NEWLY-AMALGAMATED SCARBOROUGH HOSPITAL.

Mr. Ronald Bodrug, President & CEO, Scarborough General Hospital

(June 14, 1999)

Advising the Striking Committee of the upcoming amalgamation of the Salvation Army Scarborough Grace and Scarborough General Hospitals, and recommending the appointment of Councillor B.Duguid as Council's representative on the new Board.

(Note:City Council at its meeting on May 11 and 12, 1999, in adopting Clause 1 of Striking Committee Report No. 6, appointed the following Members to the following Boards, for a term of office to expire on November 30, 2000:

(I)Salvation Army Grace Hospital, Board of Management (Scarborough):

Kelly, N.

Mahood, D.

(ii)Scarborough General Hospital, Board of Governors:

Duguid, B.

The foregoing appointments will end once the amalgamated Board comes into effect.)
