May 10, 1999

To:Toronto Community Council

From:Angie Antoniou, Manager, Right of Way Management, Transportation Services, District 1

Subject:Appeal of Denial of Application for an Extension of Commercial Boulevard Parking- Woodfield Road Flank of 1390 Gerrard Street East (East Toronto)

Purpose:

To update the Toronto Community Council on an application for an extension of commercial boulevard parking on the Woodfield Road flank of 1390 Gerrard Street East.

Funding Sources, Financial Implications and Impact Statement:

Not applicable.

Recommendation:

That this report be received for information.

Background:

The Toronto Community Council, at it's meeting of March 30 and 31, 1999, in considering my report (March 11, 1999) entitled "Appeal of Denial of Application for an Extension of Commercial Boulevard Parking- Woodfield Road Flankage of 1390 Gerrard Street East", deferred consideration of this matter and directed that a further poll be undertaken, at the applicant's expense.

Comments:

In response to the Toronto Community Council's request, staff contacted the applicant, Mr. Jim Addison who advised that he is unwilling to pay for the re-polling of the area and therefore, not interested in continuing with his application for additional commercial boulevard parking.

Conclusions:

The file for additional parking has been closed. This report is submitted for information only, as no further action is required by the Toronto Community Council.
