Comments From Residents:
In Favour:
No comments received.
Not In Favour:
(a)Like it the way it is.
(b)Want to keep at three-hour parking. Won't like my driveway blocked.
(c)There is no need for street parking on Feltham Avenue since all the residents have
driveways to park their cars.
(d)We do not want the permit because we don't want others parking in front of our house.
(e)It would make snow removal difficult, block our driveways and totally unsafe for our
homes as theft and vandalism would not be as visual as before. I do not feel safe as the
vehicles being parked on our street may be coming from different neighbourhoods. We know
everyone on Feltham Avenue between Avon and Spears. We also conduct our own
Neighbourhood Watch. With all the different cars parked on our street, we would not be able
to patrol our street as well. I do not want to be on an unsafe street as I also have a small child,
which means the traffic flow would be much heavier. Please consider this!
(f)On-street parking will ruin the appearance of my street. On-street parking also increases
the danger to my grandchildren when they visit and need to cross the road to get to the park as
traffic will increase.
(g)Like the three-hour parking. Not necessary from Northland to Leigh. In past, people
parking in front of house block my driveway and visibility backing onto street.
(h)I am not in favour of the proposal Even the petition was wrong. Residents of Feltham
Avenue were not understood the exact meaning of the petition.
(i)We have small children and grandchildren on the street. We are afraid that they might run
in between the cars.
(j)It's awful for the kids crossing the road when they go to school. I am a senior and I like the
street safe.
(k)We want our street to be quiet. As seniors, we don't want an influx of cars on the street.
(l)If this proposal is implemented, the constant influx of cars being parked would be a danger
to the many young children and grandchildren living on this quiet street. Thus, I am
vehemently opposed to on-street permit parking! Thank you.
