Increase in Membership - Board of Directors
of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority
The Committee submits this matter to Council without recommendation.
The Committee reports, for the information of Council, having referred the communication (March 26, 1999) from the
Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Communications, Greater Toronto Airports Authority, to the Commissioner of
Economic Development, Culture and Tourism with a request that he report directly to Council for its meeting on April 13,
1999 on this matter.
The Economic Development Committee submits the following communication (February 15, 1999) from the City
Clerk forwarding action taken by City Council at it meeting on February 2, 3 and 4, 1999, respecting Clause 1 of
The Striking Committee Report No. 1, headed "Appointments of Members of Council to Various Boards and
Commissions":
The City of Toronto Council at its meeting held on February 2, 3 and 4, 1999, adopted, as amended, Clause No. 1 of Report
No. 1 of The Striking Committee, headed "Appointments of Members of Council to Various Boards and Commissions".
In adopting the Clause, as amended, City Council referred the following motion to the Economic Development Committee
for further consideration, with a request that Councillor Sinclair be advised when this matter is before the Committee:
Moved by Councillor Sinclair:
"It is further recommended that City Council request the Board of Directors of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to
increase the membership of the City of Toronto:
(1)on the Consultative Committee to three representatives, and that two of those representatives be citizens of the City;
and
(2)on the Noise Management Committee to three representatives, and that two of those representatives be citizens of the
City."

President, Corporate Affairs and Communications, Greater Toronto Airports Authority, and a copy thereof is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
