BY-LAW No. -1999

To stop up and close part of the public highway Palace Pier Court

and to authorize the conveyance thereof to the abutting owner

WHEREAS it is recommended that part of Palace Pier Court be stopped up and closed as a public highway and be conveyed to the abutting owner of the lands and premises known municipally as 2063 Lake Shore Boulevard West, upon the terms and conditions contained in Clause 7 of Corporate Services Committee Report No. 17, as adopted by Council at its meeting held on November 25, 26 and 27, 1998;

AND WHEREAS notice of the proposed by-law to stop up and close the said portion of Palace Pier Court and to authorize the conveyance thereof to the abutting owner was published in the Etobicoke Life Newspaper on March 31, April 7, 14 and 21, 1999;

The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

1.The portion of the public highway Palace Pier Court, described as follows:

In the City of Toronto (formerly the City of Etobicoke) and Province of Ontario, being composed of part of the Public Highway Palace Pier Court dedicated by Borough of Etobicoke By-law 4118, registered as Instrument 478717 (Etobicoke), being part of the Water Lot patented to John Duck on July 17, 1877 (CLS41183), designated as PART 3 on Plan 64R-16122 deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Metropolitan Toronto Registry Division (No. 64) is hereby stopped up and closed as a public highway.

2. The soil and freehold of the portion of the public highway stopped up and closed by Section 1 of this By-law shall be conveyed to the abutting owner of the lands and premises known municipally as 2063 Lake Shore Boulevard West, upon the terms and conditions contained in Clause 7 of Corporate Services Committee Report No. 17, as adopted by Council at its meeting held on November 25, 26 and 27, 1998.
