Comments:

At its meeting on February25, 1999, the Committee on the Status of Women decided to continue its participation in the annual general meeting of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women which will be held in Hull, Quebec from June 4 to 6, 1999.

Participation in this conference will provide the Committee with an opportunity for information exchange with other women's organizations working on similar issues across Canada. Participation will also enhance the advisory role which the Committee provides to Council.

Transportation and accommodation costs for two participants based on last year's attendance are estimated at $750.00. The Committee on the Status of Women's budget is included within the Access and Equity Unit, Human Resources Division.
