To amend By-law No. 912-1998, being "A By-law To authorize the erection, operation,

use and maintenance of parking machines on the highways under the jurisdiction of the

City of Toronto, including the setting of fee amounts or fee scales", to establish and set the

rates for parking machines to be located on certain streets in Ward 24 of the City of Toronto.

WHEREAS, by the City of Toronto Act, 1997 (No. 2) and the Municipal Act, the Council of the City may delegate to the Toronto Parking Authority the construction, maintenance, operation and management of parking operations and facilities; and

WHEREAS City Council has directed that the responsibility for on-street parking meter and parking machine facilities, including the setting of rates in accordance with certain set criteria, within the former Metro and Area municipalities is transferred to the Toronto Parking Authority and has authorized the City Solicitor, upon the certification of the President of the Parking Authority, to process by-law amendments with respect to rate changes by the Parking Authority and the replacement of meters with machines;

The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:

1.By-law No. 912-1998, being "A By-law To authorize the erection, operation, use and maintenance of parking machines on the highways under the jurisdiction of the City of Toronto, including the setting of fee amounts or fee scales" is amended by adding the following to Schedule "A" in alphabetical order:
