The Planning and Transportation Committee recommends the adoption of the following report (June 11, 1999)
from the Chair, Toronto Licensing Tribunal:
Recommendations:
(1)That authority be granted for a member of the Toronto Licensing Tribunal to attend the International Association of
Transportation Regulators 12th International Conference, October 31 to November 3, 1999 in San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A.,
at a cost of approximately $2,000 (Canadian), to be funded from the Licensing Support Group Administration Budget; and
(2)that authority be granted to the appropriate City officials to give effect thereto.
Comments:
At a meeting of the members of the Toronto Licensing Tribunal on June 8, 1999, members discussed previous conferences
of the International Association of Transportation Regulators. Members noted that this year's Annual International
Conference would focus on "Regulating for the Millennium: the opportunities and challenges for transportation regulators
at the turn of the Century."
The Tribunal decided to request one of its members to attend this year's International Conference, October 31 to November
3, 1999 in San Antonio, Texas, U.S.A.
Information regarding the International Association of Transportation Regulators and its 12th Annual Conference are
included in the attached Journal.
