To stop up and close a portion of the public highway French Avenue and to authorize the conveyance thereof.
WHEREAS it is recommended that a portion of the public highway French Avenue be stopped up and closed as a public
highway and be conveyed to the abutting owner on the terms and conditions set out in Clause 31 of Corporate Services
Committee Report No. 11, as adopted by Council at its meeting held on July 29, 30 and 31, 1998; and
WHEREAS notice of the proposed by-law to stop up and close the said portion of French Avenue and to authorize the
conveyance thereof was published in The Globe and Mail on November 10, 17, 24 and December 1, 1999;
The Council of the City of Toronto HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. The portion of the public highway French Avenue, described as follows:
In the City of Toronto (formerly the City of Scarborough) and Province of Ontario, being composed of part of the Public
Highway French Avenue dedicated by City of Scarborough By-law Number 12189 (Instrument C348590) being part of Lot
29 on Plan 2042 designated as Part 10 on Plan 64R-15377, both said Plans being in the Land Registry Office for the
Metropolitan Toronto Registry Division (No. 64)
is hereby stopped up and closed as a public highway.
2. The soil and freehold of the portion of the public highway stopped up and closed by Section 1 of this By-law shall be
conveyed to the abutting owner on the terms and conditions set out in Clause 31 of Corporate Services Committee Report
No. 11, as adopted by Council at its meeting held on July 29, 30 and 31, 1998.
