Bike Show

Set up on Thursday March 2 from 6-10 pm

Booth opened on:

Friday March 3 (12-9 pm), Saturday March 4 (10-8 pm), Sunday March 5 (10-6 pm) and take-down from 6 - midnight

Discussion: Issie suggested an interactive survey, having visitors take something and give something.

Clay said he did not like a stupid booth, the kind kids might like.

The booth is whereever the show people put it and the tables, chairs, curtains and energy are rented from the show

Past booths had all subcommittee messages and it looked disconnected. This year we can highlight the major initiatives such as the master cycling plan, new city map, policies re: bike safety, smog,TTC racks for buses.

Maps of City wards with councillors' names could be useful for visitors having cycling issues. They would know who to call. People from 905 areas could have teir messages sent to their respective elected representatives.

Could have booth shows every 1 to 2 hours apart as a way to get feedback from cyclists, as in focus group feedback.

Maybe the cycling master plan consultants can use the bikeshow and provide a script for the booth show.

What kind of signs do we put up?

Do we use money bottles survey with the follwing poem again or something different?

I'm ridin' down Main Streey.

I'm goin' pretty fast …

The driver right beside me

Is giving it the gas.

The signal light is changin'

And still I get cut off

And when th' yutz slams on the brake ….

Well …. A loonie buys my thought.

Please put your coin in the bottles that register the feeling; I hate it when ……..
