		February 2, 2000 To: Toronto Cycling Committee From: Co-Chairs, Education and Safety Sub-Committee Subject: Request for Authorization to Solicit Donations with Bicycle Map Distribution. The Education and Safety Sub-Committee at its meeting on January 25, 2000, discussed the potential to solicit donations as the free Bike Map is distributed. There was a feeling that cyclists would be willing to donate $1.00 or $2.00 in support of bicycle safety education programs. The Education and Safety Sub-Committee recommended to the Toronto Cycling Committee that donations to support the City's bicycle safety education programs be solicited at the Bicycle Show and at other events throughout the year in association with the distribution of the Bike Map.
