CITY HOSTS SEMINARS AND RELEASES NEW CYCLING MAP

AT TORONTO INTERNATIONAL BIKE SHOW



The City of Toronto's Cycling Committee with staff from Urban Development Services, Economic Development, Culture & Tourism and the Works departments, will host a booth, seminars and release a new cycling map at the 14th Annual Toronto International Bicycle Show from Friday, March 3 to Sunday, March 5.



The display booth located in Hall B of the National Trade Centre, Exhibition Place will be open Fri., March 3 (noon to 9 p.m.), Sat. March 4 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and Sun. March 5 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Seminars are scheduled on Fri., March 3 (2, 4 & 6 p.m.), Sat., March 4 (11 a.m., 2, 4 & 6 p.m. ) and Sun., March 5 (11 a.m., 2 & 4 p.m.).



The City's Parks and Recreation division has selected the largest bike show in Canada to release its newest cycling map which shows designated lanes for bikes and buses . . . ). The Toronto Cycling Committee welcomes the public's input on the Master Cycling Plan Study, to visit the display booth and talk to TCC members about bicycle safety and the City's many services and programs such as the Road & Trail Safety Ambassadors, CAN-BIKE and Bike Week.



The Road & Trail Safety Ambassadors are a team of safety experts who provide safety information to all road and trail users - cyclists, pedestrians, in-line skaters, and motor vehicle drivers. They operate throughout the City from four base locations: north, south, east and west.



The Toronto Cycling Committee is a citizen body that works with community groups and City Council to build a social, physical and economic infrastructure that supports and encourages bicycle use in Toronto.
