Subject: Poll Results: Implementation of a Partial One-Way Southbound Traffic Operation on Krawchuk Lane from the
South Limit of the Post Office Access to Millwood Road.

Purpose:
To report on the results of a traffic poll conducted on Krawchuk Lane, Malcolm Road and at 928 Millwood Road regarding
the implementation of a partial one-way southbound traffic operation on Krawchuk Lane from the south limit of the Post
Office access to Millwood Road.
Financial Implications and Impact Statement:
The proposed changes can be accommodated from within the existing Operating Budget.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the East York Community Council consider the poll results and determine whether or not to
implement a partial one-way southbound traffic operation on Krawchuk Lane from the south limit of the Post Office access
to Millwood Road.
Background:
The East York Community Council, at its meeting held on November 9, 1999, requested the City Clerk to poll all residents
on Krawchuk Lane as to their support with respect to the implementation of a partial one-way southbound traffic operation
on Krawchuk Lane from the south limit of the Post Office access to Millwood Road.
Comments:
Implementation of a partial one-way southbound traffic operation on Krawchuk Lane from the south limit of the Post
Office access to Millwood Road.
The results of the poll are as follows:

Number of Responses: 38

Millwood Road:
Number in favour: 12
Number opposed: 6
No opinion: 4
Malcolm Road:

Comments returned with the poll have been provided to the Councillors representing East York, Ward One.
Conclusions:
The East York Community Council is requested to consider the poll results and determine whether or not to recommend
the implementation of a partial one-way southbound traffic operation on Krawchuk Lane from the south limit of the Post
Office access to Millwood Road.
East York Community Council could either:
(a) (i) recommend to Council implementation of a partial one-way southbound traffic operation on Krawchuk Lane from
the south limit of the Post Office access to Millwood Road; and
(ii) that the appropriate City Officials be authorized and directed to take the necessary action to give effect to the foregoing;
or
(b) receive this report for information.
